Dr. Mark Simpson is a certified School Psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience in education. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Kutztown University and his Master’s degree in School Psychology from Eastern University. He completed his doctoral training in Educational Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, with a specialization in school-based neuropsychology.
Dr. Simpson works with students across kindergarten through 12th grade and conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to better understand learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. His work focuses on helping school teams make clear, practical decisions using student data to guide instruction, intervention, and programming.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Simpson has worked in both school-based and consultative roles, supporting students, families, and educators across multiple settings. He has extensive experience with the evaluation and identification of learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emotional and behavioral conditions, and executive functioning challenges. He also has experience with Functional Behavior Assessments, Positive Behavior Support Plans, Section 504 plans, and school-based intervention systems.
In addition to his direct work with students, Dr. Simpson regularly collaborates with teachers and administrators, provides professional development, and supports school-wide systems such as MTSS and Child Find. He is also trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and crisis prevention and intervention through the NASP PREPaRE model.
Dr. Simpson serves as an adjunct professor at Holy Family University, where he teaches special education courses and helps prepare future educators and school professionals.
